I finalized Jasper’s adoption this afternoon – technically, he was adopted on Sat., but paperwork done today. ~YAY~!
Christina filled me in on the latest – Jasper’s laid a new racetrack throughout their house – zooming around at lightening speed.
He discovered the cat door into their basement – tentatively poking his paw through it, like he wasn’t quite sure just exactly what it was or where it went. Finally, she saw his confusion or curiosity (I’m sure it was the latter!) and told him “it’s OK!”. I can just picture Jasper doing that in my head – just like he could open the cage doors, reach into cages to scoop up food, etc. So now even more new territory he’s conquered!
He sleeps on their bed every night – she woke up the other day with Jasper laying on her head~!
He & Coleman have made excellent progress –…

I’m most certainly not a wine snob, given that the majority I drink is of the boxed version. That doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate wine and everything wine-related!
After moving from Oklahoma City to Western New York fourteen years ago, I discovered the wonderful world of wineries, wine tastings and beautiful vineyards in the Finger Lakes region. For our second anniversary, my husband and I took a trip to Keuka Lake and spent the weekend sampling wines. We ended up bringing back a case of wine with us from the various Keuka Lake vineyards. That was the beginning of my love for New York wine country and all that it has to offer.
Over the years, I’ve been to countless wine tastings. I even had the opportunity to visit some California vineyards several years ago in the San Diego area, but only a few came close to those in New York state. I love the ambiance of boutique wineries and supporting local businesses, so generally, I never come away empty handed!
